Charming vintage rectangular porcelain soap dish or decorative trinket tray by Bauscher Weiden, made in Bavaria, Germany.
The white glazed porcelain dish features a beautiful and highly detailed illustration of two colourful birds surrounded by flowering branches, leaves and berries. The vibrant shades of yellow, green, brown, pink and purple create a lovely woodland-inspired design.
The reverse bears the original green Bauscher Weiden – Bavaria Germany maker’s mark. It is additionally inscribed:
“6. Int. Wandertag 1981 – FC Weisingen”
Originally produced as a commemorative piece for the sixth international hiking event in 1981, this attractive dish is now a unique vintage collectible.
